For Kathy's Sake 7th Annual Advocacy gathering demonstrating the power of tenacity and determination to help others in her memory!

You're cordially invited to our 7th Annual For Kathy's Sake Advocacy Luncheon happening May 12th in memory of Katherine Sarah Morris. The host site is Kingdom Celebration Center, keynote speaker the Honorable Del Joselyn Pena-Melnyk, guest psalmist Erica Scott.

Our 2023 Outstanding Service Award honoree's are, Laura Morris and Kate Fantasia of Mom's Demand Action, Sherri Warren of The Warren Foundation, Del Sandy Bartlett, and Joseline Pena-Melnyk of the Maryland General Assembly, Jennifer Sell of the Showing Up For Racial Justice 3A, and Bishop Antonio and Pastor Barbera Palmer, of Kingdom Celebration Center. This award is presented to those that have given unselfishly of their time, talents, and resources in helping champion for change within our community and our nation.

We have a little celebrating to do as well. As promised by me, when HB 934 became law in 2021, https://www.marylandmatters.org/2021/06/03/new-law-will-close-loophole-in-appeals-of-autopsy-findings/ I promised a Part II to help all Marylanders. Well Part II HB 863 is on the Governor's desk, and I have officially been invited to the signing. His signing it was a part of an election promise, and he is keeping his word!! So instead of 2 months to appeal a manner of death, Marylanders will now have 6 months!!! Thank you Del. Bartlett!!!!
