Forte—A Film by David Donnelly (part of DIRECT CURRENT)
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts 2700 F Street NW, District of Columbia 20566
The REACH hosts the D.C. premiere of Forte, David Donnelly’s new film which challenges outdated notions of classical success and spotlights the strength of three diverse women. Follow the unconventional journeys of Tatiana Berman, a former Russian-born prodigy who brings music into underserved U.S. schools; Lucía Caruso, an Argentinean-born film composer; and Eldbjørg Hemsing, a young Norwegian violinist on the brink of stardom.
Following the screening of Forte, patrons are invited to remain in the Justice Forum for a panel discussion with artists and administrators in the field.
