Vocalist Debora Galan
On her third tour to the East Coast, California-based smooth Latin jazz vocalist and song-writer Debora Galan brings a blend of beloved Latin jazz selections with R&B and adult contemporary pop selections to a special concert at Ginger Cove retirement home.
Galan will include her own luscious compositions inspired by her Spanish/Cuban ancestry, such as “Arms of Love” from her album All About Love. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3flbBE3-jQ). The program will feature the compelling new tune, “Hispanica,” written in collaboration with Virginia-based Christian de Mesones and unveiled last summer to a wildly cheering audience in Washington, D.C.
Based in San Diego, the bilingual songstress performs widely on the West Coast. She has also performed in Canada, Spain, and Mexico, and her music is played on radio around the world.
Band musicians for this show include Baltimore pianist Harry Appelman; Brazilian seven-string bassist Leonardo Lucini, and Washington, D.C. percussionist Julian Berkowitz, all well-known and highly regarded in this region and beyond.
