Calvert Marine Museum proudly presents the 2020 Spring Maritime Performance Series!
Diane Daly is a vocalist of moody contrasts and evocative depth. Certainly one who cannot be easily pigeonholed into one particular style, Diane has spent her career exploring a world of music from the strictest classical solos to avant-garde cabaret.
Over the years, Diane developed a style and delivery of jazz and blues that is all her own. She has been fortunate to share the stage with such notable musicians as Keter Betts, Paul Carr, Wade Beach, and Benjie Porecki, to name a few. The deep emotional connection Diane has with music is apparent from the opening notes, captivating her audience with a sound that emanates straight from the heart.
In 2006, Diane released her debut album 'I Ain't Blue' on the Backstreet Records label. The record is a collection of jazz standards and contemporary compositions, showcasing a variety of musical influences from Billie Holiday to Pheobe Snow.
Doors open at 6 p.m. with beer & wine available for purchase. Performances begin at 7 p.m. in the museum's Harms Gallery.
