Peter Gibbons-Neff preparing to navigate through an extreme adventure: 2023 Mini-Transat

Peter Gibbons-Neff is racing in the 2023 Mini Transat, an extreme adventurous solo ocean race covering over 4,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic Ocean, unassisted on a 21' sailboat to raise awareness for U.S. Patriot Sailing. The Mini Transat departs from France with up to 90 boats and finishes in the Caribbean.

Gibbons-Neff will talk about this extreme adventure on the ocean, the challenges for an American racing in a French dominated event, the requisites to qualify for the extreme race, and seamanship while solo sailing. He serves as an advocate and ambassador supporting the veteran community navigate the hardships of transition to civilian life, rehabilitation after injury, and the complex life challenges associated with combat deployments. The ultimate goal is to support veterans through sailing and continue to grow this team.
