Pink Moon Dance Festival
Theatre Project 45 W. Preston St., Baltimore, Maryland 21201
Dance and Human Landscape Dance, the Pink Moon Dance Festival takes place March 30 – April 5. Events include weeknight dance workshops culminating in a weekend of choreography showcases, highlighting several of Baltimore’s best in contemporary dance: a mix of independent artists and seasoned companies.
The artists are united by their urban backgrounds. Dances reflect the energy of a night in the city: voices carried on the wind, heels clacking down hard pavement, cigarette-end pinpoints in the dark, hum of wheels, engines, snatches of song. While the dances represent a variety of themes, each shares the unsettled energy of our city at night, under a brilliant moon. The festival takes place shortly before the April full moon, called a pink moon after the first blossoms of spring. United by life under the same spring sky, let’s come together and celebrate dance!
Our Master Class Series features our Pink Moon artists and offers improvisation, partnering, and community-based composition. All attendees receive $5 off a General Admission ticket to one of our Showcases!
