The University of Delaware Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Professor Tom Palmer
The award-winning University of Delaware Jazz Ensemble includes saxophone, trombone, trumpet and rhythm sections. The Jazz Ensemble’s repertoire is steeped in the sounds of the big bands such as Count Basie and Buddy Rich and will feature a number of big band favorites and standards from the Great American Songbook. For this special concert, trumpeter Gerald Chavis will dazzle the audience with his up-tempo sound.
