University of Maryland Chester River Health Foundation Golf Tournament

Our premiere fundraiser has always been our golf tournament because it raises funds for the highest priority project or equipment to benefit the people proudly served at UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown.

This year, proceeds will help purchase a state-of-the-art telemetry system throughout the second floor of the hospital.  This equipment will continuously monitor patients’ heart rates, heart rhythms, pulse oxygen levels and respiration rates electronically.  These monitors will communicate to a computer located at the nurses’ station where a “monitor tech” will be able to view and hear any changes to a patient in real time.

In other words, this is a BIG DEAL in patient care!This equipment costs $200,000. So whether you play golf or not, we hope you will support our endeavor with a donation of any size!
