Woman Ironing
Celebrate both Mother's Day and the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment by exploring our foremothers' lives in business and at home. London Town was home to several women-run businesses during the colonial period, like the taverns of both Elizabeth Ferguson and Mehitable Pierpoint. Women’s work has never been easy or delicate as showcased by demonstrations of laundy and hearth cooking. You can even help knead dough!
Included with general admission. Free for members of London Town.
Two sessions: Saturday, May 9 10:00am-4:30pm OR Sunday, May 10 10:00am-4:30pm
