Though the next phase in her education is already set—Ally's heading to Shepherd University to major in Political Science, eventually working toward a master's degree in International Studies—Ally sees beyond the short-term, and even beyond her own personal paradigm.r r“I am passionate about the relief effort for human trafficking,” she says. “I have been studying this issue for four years, and I am currently working with Shared Hope International to fight against this monstrosity.” A tall order for this 18-year-old, but as the eldest child of Rich and Judi Wesley of Bowie, she has already spent much time blazing an impressive trail for younger siblings Kaitlin, 16, Jean Marie, 14, and Richard, who's 12. While she prepares to matriculate, this four-year Distinguished Honor Roll student carries a 3.71 GPA right now, and is 17th in her class at AACS. Having played soccer since early elementary school and lacrosse for nine years, she has repeatedly lettered in both, has been a part of the three-time IAAM champ Eagles ladies' soccer squad, is a two-time team captain in that sport, and earned All-County honors as well. “I love being active and playing sports,” she says. “It's not only a great way to stay in shape, but playing a sport teaches you so many life lessons. Nothing could have prepared me more for life than being part of a team.”
