
Easton, MD - The Town of Easton, Recreation and Parks, and Tree Board…in conjunction with the University of Maryland’s Wye Research and Education Center…will host an Arbor Day Celebration at Idlewild Park near the South Washington Street entrance on April 9th from 10:00 am until noon. Activities will include a Proclamation by the Mayor celebrating Arbor Day and the ceremonial planting of a tree. The University of Maryland’s Wye Research and Education’s Woodlands Stewardship Educator Agnes Kedmeneez will be on hand for a variety of tree related educational opportunities including species identification and how to tell if you have a “Champion Tree”.
The Town of Easton chose this day to combine Maryland’s Arbor Day observation on Wednesday April 6th and National Arbor Day on the 29th of April. More Details.
