SUPPORT THE LIBRARY AND YOUR RIGHT TO READ!
Annapolis, MD - Four local breweries have teamed up with Anne Arundel county Public Library to help improve library services and challenge everyone to Read Banned Books!
Each brewery has created an exclusive libation. Twenty percent of all on-site sales during the release events will be donated to support enhancements at all 16 library branches.
Limited edition, specially-designed pint glasses will be a complimentary gift with a $10 (or more) donation. Glasses will be available at each event while supplies last. More Details Here.

Featured Brew is Patches of the Universe, a reference to books in Fahrenheit 451, a dystopian novel by Ray Bradbury, it’s a Grodziskie, or lightly-smoked wheat lager, brewed with oak-smoked wheat malt and hopped with Hallertau hops. Light and crisp with subtle smoke and herbal notes.
August 10, 4-7 pm – Crooked Crab Brewing
Featured Brew is Wicked Wit of the West inspired by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum and Wicked: The Life & Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire it’s a Belgian style Witbier with orange peel, coriander and vanilla which has been conditioned on peaches & mangoes and it will be dyed GREEN!
August 18, 4-7 pm – Pherm Brewing
We’re also celebrating Crofton Library’s 21st birthday!
Featured Brew is Lawn Boy, a citrus Mexican lager inspired by a novel, Lawn Boy, by Jonathan Evison.
August 24, 4-7 pm – Hysteria Taphouse
Featured Brew is Where the Wild Brews Are, a strawberry sour inspired by the children's book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.
