The Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC) is seeking panelists to review grant applications for the second year of Creativity Grants! MSAC relies on a diverse array of arts and grants experts from across the State of Maryland to do the important work of evaluating grant applications. Creativity Grant panelists will remotely review grant applications each month for six (6) months. Serving as a panelist is a great opportunity to learn about MSAC's granting processes.
The Creativity Grant program is meant to strengthen the vitality and sustainability of artists and small organizations to maintain a strong and stable arts infrastructure in the State of Maryland.
Creativity Grant applications:
- May be submitted by independent artists or arts organizations;
- Are for grant amounts between $1,000 and $3,500;
- Include a brief financial statement if being submitted by an organization and no financial statement if being submitted by an independent artist; and
- Include a narrative statement responding to four questions.
Selected Grant Panelists:
- Review applications from April - September 2020 (6 monthly reviews).
- Receive modest compensation for the entire process each month.
- Are required to attend one of the following training sessions in March:
- Monday, March 16th at 9am
- Tuesday, March 17th at 2pm
- Wednesday, March 18th at 6pm
- Must be available to review grant applications remotely between the 10th-15th of each month.
- Must have access to a computer with internet connection to complete monthly digital reviews.
- Must be a Maryland state resident.
