Thanks to the participants, volunteers and sponsors. The 2011 Chesapeake Bay Blues Festival raised $52,848.64 for several local charities. “Despite a still suffering economy, we were able to increase our net by a few dollars over 2010” says Don Hooker, Promoter.
The Festival was held on May 21st and 22nd at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, Maryland and featured Chris Isaak, Little Feat, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, John Mayall and more.
About the festival:
The Chesapeake Bay Events (CBE) held its first festival in 1998. It has quickly gained national notoriety as one of the premier Blues Festivals in the world. Outside of providing top caliber entertainment, the festival gives ALL net proceeds to charity.
This year the recipient charities will be: Special Olympics of Maryland, John Hopkins Cleft and Cranial Facial Children's CAMP FACE, We Care and Friends, which is an organization providing a wide variety of services to the needy of Annapolis, and Camp Fantastic, a camp for children with cancer which is operated by Special Love Inc.
