rThe program is designed to remove potentially dangerous prescription drugs, particularly controlled substances, from our medicine cabinets in order to prevent prescription drug abuse.
The Annapolis Police Department will be one of many collection sites in the area, on Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm.
Intra-venous solutions, injectibles, and syringes will not be accepted due to potential hazards posed by blood-borne pathogens. Illicit substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine are not accepted. All other prescription drugs are accepted without any questions asked, or paperwork to fill out.
