Cambridge, MD - A Juneteenth Celebration presented in partnership with the Dorchester Center of the Arts, Groove City Black Heritage, Alpha Genesis, Handsell and Dorchester County Tourism.
Beginning on Friday, June 14 enjoy a free reception at the Dorchester Center for the Arts at 6pm. At 7pm a historical presentation of the local U.S. Colored Troops & Buffalo Soldiers, George B. Todd Performance Hall, DCA. Suggested donation $5
Saturday, June 15 at 12 noon at the Dorchester County Courthouse the VFW MD State Honor Guard – Remembrance for fallen U.S. Colored Troops from Dorchester and recognition of USCT present for the first Juneteenth with musical selections. At 4pm at the Dorchester Center of the Arts the life of Isaac Jackson, Buffalo Soldier from Cambridge presented by Carol Nichols Armstrong.
