Annapolis, MD - Baltimore resident and artist, Katie Pumphrey, invited everyone to follow and cheer her on for a history making 24-mile swim starting at the Chesapeake Bay Bridge at Sandy Point State Park to Harborplace Amphitheater in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Pumphrey's swim served "as a celebration for the decades-long clean up efforts to make the Baltimore Harbor swimmable, and a safe recreational resource for the city." Pumphrey's "swim of a lifetime" started at 3am and the destination was reached at 5:13pm, taking just over 14 hours.
