Though their sounds are wildly different, the talent coming from the two performing goups at Summer at City Dock this week is sure to impress music lovers of all genres. From the soul-filled voice of Gillian Thompson to the mellow, engaging sound of the Walking Sticks and guest singer, Chelsea Lee, there is no question that talent is the order of the day on Sunday, August 7th.
The fun begins at 2 pm with family-friendly magic tricks provided by Glenn's Magic--- and free boat rides from Duffy Electric Boats.
Then at 3:00 powerhouse singer Gillian Thompson takes center stage with a voice that mesmerizes audiences and will surely have those on the dock dancing.
At 5:00 twin others Max and Spencer Ernst, better known now as the Walking Sticks, take over, playing rich harmonies reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel. The others have performed at Washington, DC's 9:30 Club, Virginia's Jammin' Java, NYC's Mercury Lounge, Baltimore's Rams Head Live, and other elite venues up and down the East Coast. With the velvet-voiced Chelsea Lee by their side this Sunday, this team will impress anyone fortunate enough to hear them.
Every Sunday from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day, City Dock comes alive from 2:00 to 7:00 pm with family-friendly street performers, and the best in local musical talent, with face painters, magicians, and balloon artists and more filling in throughout the day. Now in its the third year, the series is supported by the City of Annapolis and local businesses who want to ing visitors and residents alike to Annapolis' historic downtown district. Attendees are encouraged to ing down their own lawn chairs. Food is offered at the Dock from series sponsors Jimmy Johns Sandwiches and Chick and Ruth's Delly will be selling their famous crabcakes at the nearby newly opened Market House.
