Crops Sustainability & IPM Workshop
December 16th, 6 p.m.; Virtual Event
Make plans to attend one of the Crop Sustainability & IPM Workshop, Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Anne Arundel County Extension Office. The workshops will explore advanced crop production practices focusing on sustainability, food security and integrated pest management tactics. The workshops will also be available virtually via ZOOM. To participate in a live ZOOM session a high speed cable or satellite internet connection is required. An email with login instructions will be sent the day before the workshop. Attendance at this conference will satisfy the requirement for the Private Pesticide Applicator Recertification & Nutrient Applicator Voucher. Registration is required. Participants may be required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Seating may be limited due to COVID 19 meeting rule compliance.

USNA Band's Holiday By the Bay
December 16th, 7 p.m.; US Naval Academy's Main Chapel
Our annual "Holiday by the Bay" concert will take place on Thursday, December 16th at 7:00 p.m. at the historic Naval Academy Chapel. Under the direction of Commander Diane E. Nichols, the concert will feature multiple ensembles performing a variety of multicultural holiday favorites, from traditional to modern. Mr. Monte Maxwell, USNA Chapel Organist, will join the band as a special guest artist during the concert. Santa Claus just might pay a special visit to the delight of children of all ages with holiday cheer and a sweet treat!
Holiday Pops Sultans of Strings "Christmas Caravan"

Our Holiday Pops with the Sultans of String has been a long time coming. Planned originally before the pandemic we are thrilled to finally be able to present this amazing program to Annapolis audiences. While it might not be time to travel the world Sultans of String and the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra are warmed up to take you on a joyful, joyous world tour through music in a delightful Christmas Caravan.

This event is sure to get you in the holiday spirit! Enjoy some of your favorite hit songs by Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes and The Intruders, as well as a special comedic performance by Gregg Cooper that will bring on the holiday laughter.
December 18th, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.; Talbot County Community Center, Easton
All are invited to enjoy the Winter Skating Exhibition on Sunday, December 18 from 12:30pm – 2:30pm, organized by the Talbot Figure Skating Team. The show will be held on the ice at the Talbot County Community Center, and admission is free. The Exhibition will feature solos, duets, and group performances from almost 50 members of the skating team. Skaters range in age from 5 years old to 45 years old and reflect a wide range of skating abilities. For some, this will be their very first time performing in front of an audience, while others are veterans of regional and national skating competitions. The show will include a selection of holiday-themed performances, as well. While admission to the event is free, the Talbot Figure Skating Team will be collecting donations at the Exhibition in support of the work of Queen Anne County Animal Services. All contributions of new pet supplies are welcomed.
December 18th, 3-7 p.m.; Wildberry Farm + Market, Crownsville
Come on out to the farm for our annual open-air Vintage Christmas Market! This year we will have two dates, 12/11 + 12/18, from 3-7pm with 20 vendors each evening, plus a fun photo prop, and outdoor Christmas movies playing on the projector! Dogs are allowed at Wildberry, we just ask that dogs stay leashed while on the farm and please clean up after your dog before you leave! (Please place any waste in the provided trash receptacles)
