
Blue Crab Classic Pickleball Tournament
August 10th through 13th; Ball at the Mall Courts at Annapolis Mall
The Anne Arundel Chamber of Commerce and Peake Social present the Inaugural Blue Crab Classic Pickleball Tournament at Westfield Annapolis' new Ball at the Mall courts. The Blue Crab Classic with open with a Drink & Dink Corporate Challenge on Thursday evening where businesses can compete in either a social or competitive bracket to win the (what will be) traveling pickle trophy! It’s a Chamber event so of course we’ve added a networking element to the evening for those just want to forego the Dinking and just do the Drinking! The evening will close with an exhibition match from local “celebs”.

Forward Brewing, Crooked Crab Brewing Co., Pherm Brewing Co, and Hysteria Taphouse have joined forces yet again to celebrate the library and your right to read! Each brewery has created an exclusive libation. 20% of all on-site sales during the release events, listed below, will be donated to the library to support enhancements at all 16 branches.

Frank Baum and Wicked: The Life & Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire it’s a Belgian style Witbier with orange peel, coriander and vanilla which has been conditioned on peaches & mangoes and it will be dyed GREEN!

Come by land or come by sea to the Town of Rock Hall on the Isle of Delmarva located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay for a town-wide family event that you’ll never forget! Watermen’s Appreciation Day celebrates Chesapeake watermen and their heritage. The event includes a “watermen’s rodeo” boat docking contest, and live music. Steamed crabs, beer, and other foods and beverages will be available for purchase.
Busch Annapolis Library Summer Film Series: Celebrating Movie Musicals

Movie musicals have been a staple of the film industry since its earliest years. In this series, we’ll watch three of the best, epitomizing the genre at its versatile heights. Join us as we enjoy the genius of Bob Fosse, the elegance of Fred Astaire, and the megawatt star power of Judy Garland. Each film is introduced by area cinephile Ann Glenn with info about the film’s production, director, actors and followed by a Q&A session.

"Wild About Wildlife" is this year's theme for the 14th Annual Juried Exhibit for the Annapolis Arts Alliance. More than 40 artists will have their works on display and for sale at the Quiet Waters Park Willow Gallery, from 8/16-10/1. The Opening Reception will be 8/20 from 1:30-3:30. This exhibit includes a vast variety of artwork media, such as watercolor, acrylic, oil painters, photographers, and 3-D media such as jewelers and pottery.
