A wonderful cast, the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra, and the Annapolis Chorale combine to present this classic tale celebrating love, friendship, and belief in a dream. African American Heritage Tour – Annapolis Market House, Annapolis February 16, 1:00 p.m. Tour Annapolis with a period dressed guide on this unique walking tour that explores African American heritage. African Americans have, for over 300 years, comprised a significant portion of the population of the state of Maryland, our county and the city of Annapolis.

The Little Mermaid Jr.: Indian Creek Lower School Spring Musical – Indian Creek Upper School, Crownsville February 12 and 13, 7:00 p.m. February 15 and 16, 3:00 p.m. This classic Disney musical contains all of the songs from the Academy Award® winning animated feature film as well as three new songs from the Broadway show. THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. takes place in a magical kingdom beneath the sea, where a beautiful young mermaid named Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, the king of the sea, escape the clutches of an evil sea witch and convince a prince that she’s the girl with the perfect voice.

Chesapeake Fire and Ice Festival – Downtown Easton February 14- February 16 The festival will feature dozens of ice sculptures spread throughout Easton’s historic district. The Discover Easton Signature Event will kick off with a Friday night Ice Block Party on February 14. The celebration will feature live music, fire performances, entertainment, and the unveiling of the weekend’s ice sculptures with a self-guided tour and light display. A grand ice carving demonstration, sponsored by Preston Automotive Group and Safehouse LLC, is the featured attraction during the Ice Block Party Friday evening. Watch as 3,000 pounds of ice will be carved into a spectacular work of art by the team of carvers from Ice Lab. February 15, 4:00 p.m. Launched as a partnership between Mark Morris Dance Group and the Brooklyn Parkinson Group, this program offers internationally acclaimed dance classes for people with Parkinson’s Disease in more than 250 communities and 24 countries. For these two events, join local Dance for PD certified instructor Lucy Bowen McCauley for a free workshop where participants are empowered to explore movement and music in ways that are refreshing, enjoyable, stimulating and creative.
