In works of enormous beauty and visual strength, renowned Chesapeake artist Marc Castelli presents a more complete and honest picture of the watermen than perhaps can be found anywhere else. He captures the realities of the watermen's work and their legacy in all its complexity and quirky detail.
Collector Diane Simison loved Marc Castelli's paintings because of their beauty, their artistic excellence, and because they caught what she saw out her own windows or when she was out on the Bay. But it was also particularly important to her that people see these paintings and their unique perspective on the Chesapeake Bay watermen.
