Billy Kelly is a singer/songwriter/ performer/aimator/illustrator/entertainer/guy from Pennsylvania. His debut children's music cd, Thank You For Joining the Happy Club (2009) was released to widespread critical acclaim and landed on several “Best of 2009” lists. For a follow-up Billy recruited none other than Davy Jones ( the Monkee, not the pirate) for a duet on his second disc, Is This Some Kind of Joke? (2010)- a musical comedy album that found its way into the “Top 10 Albums of 2010” on the respected children's music review blog Zooglobble.

Billy's wry, sardonic humor and catchy melodies are finding a national audience thanks in part to a glowing review on Natinal Public Radio, steady airplay from Sirius/XM Satellite Radio- where his song “People Really Like Milk” was #1 hit- and his ambitious tour schedule with his band The Blahblahblahs. His quirky animated music videos and snazzy web site (thebillykellyshow.com) don't hurt him any either.

For 2011 Billy is back with The Family Garden, a jaunty( yes, jaunty) new cd showcasing his usual goofy songs, some impromptu jams, two cover songs- Rock Lobster, anyone?- and lots of off-the-cuff banter. Jumping from country to ragtime to rock, The Family Garden literally offers something for everyone, except people who don't like country, ragtime or rock. Trust us, these people exist. Anyways, everyone else is gonna love it!

Billy Kelly's performance is designed to entertain parents and children. The show is well balanced and engages the audience through sing-a-longs, dance-a-longs, guessing games, comedy, and a touch of storytelling. The Performance is built upon a set of catchy songs covering a range of styles including rock, country, ragtime and ska. There's also a march and a ballad about the greatest cardboard box of all time. The show incorporates oversized props, song related dancing characters and an appearance by Billy's sock puppet manager Digby.

“…a School-House-Rock feel that's super fun…vast appeal for kids and adults alike.”-Common Sense Media
r
“I cannot recall a funnier, more intelligently conceived debut family record.”- OutWith The Kids
