Once the sun goes down, and it's super-dark out, it's easy to get bored. I, for one, had no idea how much time I spent online until it was gone. Yikes. But, with a couple of candles, a flashlight, or a camping lantern, you can whip up some entertainment.

- Charades. It's a summer camp classic for a reason. And that reason is that it's really entertaining. Gather your family together, write some activities, actions, movies, books, etc. on a pile of flashcards, and get to acting them out! I may suggest this tonight. r
- Hand shadow puppets. Now is your time to show off those skills. I'm going to be honest with you--I can only manage a shadow ostrich, but I'm sure some of your friends and family have some awesome shadows up their sleeves. r
- Board games. If you can muster a little bit of light, there's no reason why you can't make tonight another family game night. Cards are a good idea here, too. r
- 20 questions. You don't even need lights for this one! Just pick a person, place, or thing, and start guessing. r
- Who am I? This is one of my all-time favorite party games. (I know; that probably makes me really lame.) All you have to do is write the name of a famous person on a postit, and stick it on someone else's' forehead. Then, they get to ask yes or no questions to ry to find out their identity. Remember, they only get one question per round. r
- Stargazing. With all of the power outages, this might be the best time to go outside and check out our viewable constellations. Be on the lookout for Ursa Minor and Ursa Major, Cassiopeia, Perseus, Virgo, Leo, Bootes, Taurus, Corvus. While you still have internet, here's a link to check out the current night sky. (Okay, so it's technically Baltimore's. It's all the same!) r
