Hammond-Harwood Candlelight Tour and Preview Party

rThis candlelight tour of Victorian-era decorated rooms kicks off with a preview party for the 51st annual 1774 Hammond-Harwood Greens Show and Sale. The event features champagne and a fresh oyster bar, catered specialties, holiday music, and the sale of a variety of fresh-made boxwood and magnolia wreaths, centerpieces, and loose greens.
rrHistoric Annapolis Holiday Open House

rJoin Historic Annapolis for an evening of holiday hospitality and revelry—it's 1772, and Mr. and Mrs. Paca are throwing a party. So, all are invited to the candle-lit William Paca house for a bit of "Christmas Eves-dropping." Timed tickets will be issued that night; the last tour begins at 8 p.m. The party continues at the Hogshead at 43 Pinkey Street, where costumed interpreters will share the holiday traditions of the region's 18th-century working class. Visit the Historic Annapolis Museum to view this year's spectacular entries in the Gingerbread House Competition, and the newest examples of artwork from the past year's watercolor workshops in the William Paca Garden. And, enjoy holiday tunes by the Annapolis Madrigals throughout the evening while sipping hot cider, and nibbling on Christmas cookies.
rrState House by Candlelight

Enjoy choral, band, and ensemble performances by the glow of the official State Christmas tree in the oldest State House in continuous legislative use in the nation. Photo identification is required for individuals age 16 and over.
rBecky’s New Car

You'll experience a rollicking good ride at Becky's New Car. With laughs-aplenty, this is the perfect fare for the holiday season. Becky Foster's adult sun has yet to leave the nest, and her desk job at a car dealership has become a grind. Plus, her gentle, good-natured husband is so-o-o predictable. Becky's life is just the same old same old until a wealthy, lonesome widower shows up at the auto showroom after hours.
rrWreath-making Workshop
rSaturday, December 3rd. 10 a.m.-12 p.m. $35 for members and volunteers; $45 for non-members. At the William Paca Garden.
Create your own Colonial Revival wreath in this hands-on workshop, and add a handmade touch to your holiday decorations. Expert floral arrangers will teach you the fundamental techniques of making this classic evergreen wreath. Clipped boxwood, wreath forms, and basic supplies will be provided, although you may wish to personalize your wreath by bringing a variety of greens, fruit, seedpods, ribbons, and other decorative materials.

rCelebrate the holidays with a concert of festive 18th and 19th-century European chamber music and seasonal favorites with the Annapolis Chamber Players. Hosted by the Charles Carroll House of Annapolis, this event showcases chamber music in the intimate setting for which it was intended.

rSunday, December 4th. Hour-long tours on the half hour from 12:30 p.m., last tour at 3:30 p.m. $10 for adults; $5 for children 6-17, free for members.
Visit the home of William and Mary Paca on the first Sunday of the month with one of their fellow Annipolitans. Costumed in-character tour guides will share the history of the house, as well as the comings and goings of family, friends, and servants of Mr. and Mrs. Paca. You never know who you might meet!

Handel's Messiah

USNA Combined Glee Clubs and Soloists from the Metropolitan Opera Company and Annapolis Symphony Orchestra will perform Handel's famous Messiah.
