July 4th: Annapolis kicks off its fourth of July with an old-fashioned community parade at 6:30 p.m. The parade begins at Amos Garrett Blvd., turns right on West Street, and winds its way around Church Circle, down Main Street to City Dock. The U.S. Naval Academy Band performs at Susan Campbell Park at 8 a.m., and fireworks over the Annapolis Harbor begin around 9:15 p.m.

The William Paca House and Garden will welcome forty new citizens to America at what has become its annual naturalization ceremony. The Independence Day tradition is free to attend, with limited seating and standing room available for members of the general public. Afterwards, the house will be open for guided tours at $10 for adults, $5 for children, and free for children under six.

Crofton:

July 7th: The Crofton Running Club will host its annual 4th of July 5k Fun Run/Walk on Saturday at Crofton Southside Park. The race kicks off at 7:30 a.m. for walkers and 8 a.m. for runners. Registration will be open up to the day of the 5k, and costs $20. Proceeds will benefit the club.

July 4th: Fort Meade will cele ate Independence Day with children's inflatable rides and games, entertainment by Mix 106.5 and New Monopoly, and plenty of food vendors. Fireworks will follow at 9:30 p.m.

July 7th: The city of Laurel has a full schedule of fun events slated for Saturday. Highlights include a classic car show, a parade, music by popular local band Oracle, and, of course, fireworks. You can see the rundown of times here.

July 4th: Bowie's annual Fourth of July cele ation takes place at Allen Pond Park on Wednesday. Food and drinks will be available throughout the park beginning at 9 p.m., and fireworks begin at approximately 9:15 p.m.

July 3rd: Rock Hall's fireworks show kicks off your 4th of July festivities with a 35-minute display choreographed to patriotic music at 9 p.m. It can be viewed from the Bay and from anywhere in the Rock Hall Harbor.

July 4th: The annual Rock Hall July 4th Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Main Street. Afterwards, head to the Rock Hall Community Center for a taste of local food, music, festivities, crafts, a 5-mile foot race, and more.

July 6th: At the 1st Friday Independence Day, Chestertown will offer live music, complimentary popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and giveaways from your local businesses. Plus, many galleries will host opening receptions for their new exhibitions.

July 4th: In the midst of its annual carnival, which features super rides, carnival foods, games, and prizes all week long, the town of Easton will also hold its 4th of July Cele ation. Highlights include performances by The Bleu Lights and The Legendary Orioles, and fireworks choreographed to popular music.

St. Michaels:

June 30th: The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum will kick things off early with its Big Band Night/Fireworks, featuring the 17-piece band The Rhythm Doctors. The event takes place between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m., and is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

July 4th: St. Michales will host its traditional Independence Day Cele ation at the St. Michaels Museum on the corner of E. Chestnut Street and St. Mary's Square. The event kicks off with a parade at 10 a.m., and continues throughout the day with a formal program, a performance by magician John Dodge, face painting, games, and more.

July 3: Oxford will cele ate the Fourth of July with fireworks over The Strand beginning at dusk.

July 4th: Cam idge will host a free concert a Long Wharf, and will light up the night sky with fireworks at nightfall. They will be visible from Long Wharf and Great Marsh Park. The skipjack Nathan of Dorchester will also offer free one-hour public sales.
