It’s Friday again, and you know what that means … another addition of the events roundup, and another weekend to get out and enjoy in our fair city or in the areas surrounding it.
rFor the Kids ….
rIt might seem a little strange to take the kids to someplace called the Stone Store, but that’s the place to go on Saturday for an inflatable slide, an appearance by Bubbles the Clown, face painting, and more. It’s all part of the Home and Garden Expo and Family Fun Day taking place in Harmans from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. In addition to kids’ activities, there will be music by Detour Dave, food for sale from Moveable Mixtures, a plant sale, and giveaways. Find out more at thestonestore.com or call 888-766-4242. Bring a nonperishable food item and you get in for free.
rFor the Grown-Ups …
If you haven’t seen the “new Bob Dylan” yet, it’s time you paid him a visit. Head to Wolf Trap in Vienna, VA, on Saturday to check out a concert with Bright Eyes and special guests M. Ward and Dawes. There are both pavilion and lawn seats available. Get yours by calling 703-255-1900 or visiting www.wolftrap.org.
For the Whole Family …
rAttend the Annapolis Arts and Crafts Festival on Friday or Saturday. It’s a two-day outdoor celebration of the arts, featuring over 200 fine art and handmade craft displays, select wine tastings, specialty foods, live entertainment and lots of activities. The juried show features paintings, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, jewelry, fabric and wearable art, wood, leather, glass and photography, but the real treat are all of the vendors. Visit www.annapolisartsandcraftsfestival.com or call 410-263-4012.
