The imagery and the wisdom imparted in the telling of the simple story of two mice's journey through the snowy woods and their encounter with wiser creatures who reassure them of the spiritual and eternal connection between all living things, is story for all ages.
Published by Good Times Press, a company started by Maggie's mother Greta Johnson, the hardback 24 page book is excellently designed, and at the retail price of $14.95 would be a solid addition to any child's li ary. But it also makes a thoughtful gift to give to anyone, young or old, who is dealing with a loss. Usually when I receive for review a self-published book, I receive poorly edited and poorly designed products, but Moonlight Memoirs is a major exception. No wonder it has won multiple awards, including the 2010 Next Generation Indie Book Awards Gold Medal in the field of spirituality, and the 2010 Gold Seal in the 2010 Young Voices Foundation Book Awards category of Best Fiction in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Available online at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and at www.moonlightmemoirs.com , it can also be ordered through your local bookseller.
