What's Up? Singles for a Common Cause Happy Hours
Saturday, April 20th – 1st Annual Beer Run
In the start of a new tradition, the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds will host a 5K and a one mile fun run. There will be over 40 beers to sample from. Gates open at 10 a.m. Serious runners start at 12 p.m. and “not so serious” runners begin at 1 p.m. Racers can purchase three packages: a $30 package for general admission and a T-shirt, a $25 beer samples packer and a $55 “all inclusive” package that provides general admission, beer samples and a T-shirt.
Sunday, April 21st – Beer and Bands
Stan & Joe's Saloon (West) will turn its parking lot into an outdoor concert venue featuring bands such as the Bumpin Uglies, Shawn Owen Band, Happy Fuzzy and more. Get in the door and access to beer specials for only $10.
Monday, April 22nd – Hugh Sisson Beer/Food/History Night + Beer and Green
Heavy Seas Beer founder Hugh Sisson will host a meal prepared to combine with four of his own ews at Stan & Joe's (West). Sisson will share the backgrounds of each beer. Menu items include grilled chicken, grilled sausage and fried coconut shrimp.
From 5:30-7:30 p.m., The Rockfish will host “Green Drinks Annapolis,” allowing patrons to sample beer such as Smutty Nose, Victory, Flying Dog, Heavy Seas and more.
Tuesday, April 23rd – Beer and Singles Night
What's Up? Magazine is hosting “Singles for a Common Cause” from 6-9 p.m. at the West Kitchen & Tavern at the Loews Hotel. A $20 donation at the door includes five beer samples. A $10 donation will get you in the door but does not include beer tastings. Proceeds benefit the Maryland Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Wednesday, April 24th – Meet the Brew-Master
Annapolis Beer Week is teaming with Stan & Joes and Metropolitan Kitchen and Lounge for a meet-and-greet of local ew masters. Admission is $10 and includes two samples. Devils Backbone, Cutlass Amber, and Chipotle Dark are among the featured samples.
Thursday, April 25th – Annapolis Craft Beer Crawl
Take a stroll around scenic Annapolis and tour different pubs such as ACME Bar & Grill, Stan & Joe's, Fado Irish Pub, Federal House Bar & Grille, Rams Head Tavern and much more. Cost is $10 and includes a wristband and $2 samples in at least 10 participating bars.
Friday, April 26th – Around Town Beer Specials + Schooner Woodwind Beer Cruise
Different establishments around town will be featuring their own specials just for Annapolis Beer Week. Check out Annapolisbeerwk.com for updated information on the specials.
The 74-foot Schooner Woodwind is hosting a meet-and-greet with Port City Brewing Company Brewmaster Jonathan Reeves as it tours the Chesapeake Bay on a two-hour sunset sail.
Saturday, April 27th – 2nd Annual Drafts and Laughs
The Maryland National Guard Armory will host two comedy sessions this year. The first session will run from 1-5 p.m. and the second will run from 7-11 p.m. This year the featured comedians are Danny Rouhier, Rob Maher, Joe Robinson, Jon Mumma and Jeff Maurer.
