As a resident of Annapolis, it can sometimes seem daunting for me to drive across that great bridge over the Bay. This is especially true on weekends such as this one, where it will undoubtedly be clogged with beach traffic. While Annapolis is quite busy with Naval Academy graduation and Memorial Day events, I thought it was important to give some love to some exciting things happening on Saturday a little further east.

Beckwith Strawberry Festival at Beckwith United Methodist Church, Cambridge [9 a.m.] When I was a kid, I wasn’t huge on fruits and vegetables, but I always loved strawberries. In addition, there will be soups, cakes, chicken salad sandwiches, ice cream, and more, plus a flea market, music, and arts and crafts. To find out more, call 410-228-7807.
