Adventures in Acrylic Painting For Teens and Tweens

If your child loves to paint, this is the perfect class! This class teaches fine arts painting using acrylics, a fabulous painting medium with bold colors and a texture very much like oil paint.

Students draw what they paint so this class has the advantage of teaching both drawing and painting. We explore color strategies such as complimentary and/or triadic color schemes. The class offers instruction in color concepts, drawing and painting principles, paintbrush techniques, and mixing colors, all skills that help children develop and enhance their painting skills.

Children learn by following the instructor in guided drawing and painting instruction. The class is offered in person or online and is one and 1/2 hours long.
