MTPA Paint Pour
Maryland Theatre for the Performing Arts (MTPA) is hosting a Paint Pour Event with Teal Road Art, allowing guests to create a Maryland themed paint pour painting, while enjoying brunch and beverages from local vendors.
This is not your typical Paint N’ Sip event, here you get to learn a new art technique and create your very own piece to bring home.
What is paint pour?
It is a popular fluid art technique that mixes a variety of colors onto a canvas, creating a marble wavy style affect. It uses acrylic paint, combined with a variety of chemical solutions, generating the visually appealing affect.
What to expect:
Free brunch style appetizers and mimosas from local vendors
Learn about the MTPA and the history of Maryland Day
Tutorial lead by Teal Road Art, a local Maryland artist, on how to make your paint pour
Bring home your own 8 in. x 10 in. paint pour piece using the colors red, yellow, black, and red (in honor of Maryland of course)
Take home sheet on how to paint pour in the future
Network and mingle with event attendees
