What kind of works can I expect to give to (or see in) this show? This year we've got paintings, drawings, photographs, jewelry, sculpture, collage, ceramics, watercolor, digital, mixed media, woodwork, and more. We even have student work from both Kent Island and Queen Anne's County High Schools.
Over 80 piece in all!How do I win this stuff?! Raffle tickets will be for sale throughout the show! Tickets are $5.00 or 3 for $10.00. We accept cash, check, and charge. After the opening night, anyone will be able to give us a call, purchase tickets via credit card over the phone, and tell us what boxes they'd like to have their tickets put into. (We'll update you when ALL of the works go up on our Artists website!) We've done that for a few years now, and it's worked wonderfully for people unable to attend in person. We're exploring other remote ways to buy tickets, stay tuned! We're in the office Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. (Next week, February 13 to 17 we will only be here from 10 am to 2 pm.)
Where does the money raised go? Oh man, we'd love to tell you all about this. The money raised by this show helps the Arts Council do what it does all year round. That means scholarships for college bound art students, art programs for county schools, free concerts in the park, low cost arts and cultural events, grants for other local arts organizations, and all of our programs, events, and shows year round. Can't get more bang for your buck than that!
Do I have to be present to win my Small Work? Nope. The raffle tickets have a space on them for your name, e-mail address and/or phone number. We'll contact you! We will have things to drink and munch on, all complimentary of course. We'd love to see you.
