The judges line up to taste the chili and crown "best chili" at the fundraiser that supports programs for veterans dealing with homelessness and addiction.
Home chefs from throughout Maryland will put their best pots of chili forward when they come together for a chili cookoff to raise money for homeless veterans. The Baltimore Station’s 8th annual Stars, Stripes and Chow: Chili Edition, presented by M&T Bank, will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
The event features a chili competition between teams from across Maryland. This year’s competitors are BlueHalo, Fuchs North America, M&T Bank, MartinFed, the Maryland Multi-Housing Association (MMHA) and The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation Young musicians from Soundcheck Rock Academy will provide the entertainment as guests enjoy unlimited chili samples and other food and beverage options. The family-friendly event will feature a kid’s zone with activities to keep kids busy.
Guests will cast their vote for “People’s Choice” and “Best Theme” and an esteemed panel of judges will crown the “Best Chili” champion. All proceeds will benefit The Baltimore Station, an organization supporting individuals, primarily veterans, dealing with homelessness and substance use disorder by providing residential and community-based therapy programs.
