Summit School Open House

Join us to see our program in-person and learn how Summit educates bright students who learn differently.
Our students are bright children whose dyslexia or other learning differences present challenges that have previously prevented them from finding success in other schools.
Summit student profiles might include dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, processing difficulties, memory challenges, weak language abilities, as well as attention and executive function concerns. Our program is designed to prepare students for success in high school, college, and beyond.
Our program is not designed to serve students with a primary diagnosis of Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder, a behavior disorder, a severe communication disorder, Asperger’s, Autism; or for children who fall below the average range on measures of cognitive ability.
The Summit School’s expertise lies in closing the gap in literacy, math, written language and organization. If your child is not progressing in their current school or has a learning difference such as dyslexia, we invite you to learn more about Summit and how we teach differently.
Is The Summit School right for my child?
Summit makes sense for students who:
- demonstrate weaknesses in language processing, working memory, comprehension or organization
- are bright and want to learn, but are falling behind
- are encountering difficulty with reading, writing, spelling, math, organization or self-management
- thrive when teachers listen and adapt to individual needs
- are most successful when learning is active and expectations reflect their learning profile.
The Summit School has an incredible record of helping children become successful learners. Summit teaches the way your child needs to learn, tracking progress and communicating growth. No more surprises at the end of a marking period.
