rThere's a lot of warnings out there about using "friendors" for your wedding, mostly because you know how things can go when money exchanges hands between friends. However, when David proposed to me in April, I knew that just wasn't an issue.
See, we have this great couple friend, Holly and Adam Blood. Adam and David have known each other since high school, and I knew David was planning on asking Adam to be a groomsman. We spend every New Year's Eve with them, and were recently so excited to welcome their first son, Jaxon, into the world on Sept. 11. Holly is a professional wedding photographer, and to me, it was a no- ainer: We had to ask Holly to shoot our wedding.
Naturally, we gave her an option. If she would rather attend our wedding as a guest, then we would start a search for another photographer. However, she chose to be our photographer.
And lucky us. If you've been following this blog for a few months, you might have seen our engagement shoot from June that Holly took. Looking through her portfolio, I've seen some other beautiful photos that make me confident in my decision.

Given my confidence in Holly and our great relationship with her and her husband, I'm not concerned about using a "friendor" for our wedding.
