A graduate of Hahnemann University School of Medicine, Dr. Kates’ special interests involve dermatologic surgery and laser procedures, filler treatments, and Botox/Dysport injections. Dr. Kates served as the Director of Laser Surgery at a busy Chicago hospital before relocating to Maryland five years ago. She strongly believes in educating patients about ‘sun safety’, especially with melanoma on the rise, and advocates an annual total body skin exam. “Early detection is key.”
