Annapolis Snoring & Sleep Apnea Center’s two offices—located in Annapolis and Easton—focus only on the treatment and management approach for snoring and sleep apnea. Dentist Samuel Pollina, DMD, received certification from the UCLA School of Dentistry after completing a mini-residency in the Dental Management of Sleep Disorders.

ABOUT DR. POLLINA
Being a sufferer himself, he researched the issue and found a six-month mini-residency program at UCLA, headed by Dennis Bailey, DDS, that taught ways to manage mild to moderate sleep apnea through scientifically-designed dental appliances. CPAP intolerance, in severe sleep apnea, also designates a patient being a candidate for oral appliance therapy. Dr. Pollina completed the mini-residency and added this new service to his practice in Johnstown. Since then, he has helped hundreds of patients using dental appliance therapy.
A little over two years ago, Dr. Pollina and his wife decided to move to Annapolis. So, why Annapolis? Taking care of 15 acres was becoming harder to handle, and Dr. Pollina and Cate wanted to be somewhere near the water. Dr. Pollina enjoys helping those in need and his work remains important, so moving their personal and professional lives to Annapolis was the answer.
He and Cate bought a waterfront house on Cox Creek on Kent Island, and Dr. Pollina decided to only focus on patients who needed immediate and effective snoring and sleep apnea management solutions. The Annapolis office uses digital scanning to create each patient’s unique dental appliance, which they wear in their sleep. The dental appliance therapy offered is the easiest, most comfortable, and most portable way for patients to manage snoring or sleep apnea issues.
“We’ve opened two offices for snoring and sleep apnea patients in Maryland—one in Annapolis and a recent addition in Easton. Our Annapolis office uses digital scanning to create each patient’s unique dental appliance, which they wear in their sleep. The dental appliance therapy offered is the easiest, most comfortable, and most portable way for patients to manage snoring or sleep apnea issues.
Two years in Annapolis has provided us with a rebirth. We love sitting in our backyard together overlooking the water in the mornings and evenings. During the day we treat patients to help them find a new happiness with Maryland life. Overall, I think we would both say that living in Annapolis is the best thing we’ve ever decided to do.”

Throughout his career, Dr. Pollina has worked with some of the most prestigious people, hospitals, and non-profits. After several decades building his business in Pittsburgh and Johnstown, Pennsylvania, he and his wife moved to the mountain town of Ligonier, Pennsylvania. In this small-town setting, many of Dr. Pollina’s patients became friends, and they would often complain of snoring or sleep apnea issues.
