Bullying is such a hot-button issue, the White House is even hosting a special Conference on Bullying Prevention. Anyone who has ever been bullied or any parent who has a child who has been bullied knows the emotional pain that can be inflicted. It seems almost every week we hear of another child who found suicide to be the only escape from his or her tormentors.

Locally, there is a place you can go for information and solutions. Plan to attend “The Truth About Bullying,” a free, interactive panel discussion for parents and caregivers on Tuesday, March 15. The event is offered through a collaboration between Anne Arundel Medical Center, Anne Arundel Community College, Anne Arundel Public Schools and the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
