He has been inducted into the American Board of Trial Advocates, and selected in 2011 by Best Lawyers in America as Lawyer of the Year in the D.C./Baltimore area. He serves as an appointed mediator for the Federal and State courts, and is a member of ADR Maryland, a nonprofit organization of active trial attorneys certified for mediation and arbitration. Mr. Baldwin is a recipient of the Maryland Bar Foundation Professional Legal Excellence Award for the Advancement of Professional Competence.
rJonathan P. Kagan is a Past-President of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association and serves on the Maryland State Bar Association Board of Governors. He was selected by his peers in the What’s Up? Annapolis survey in the categories of litigation, business law, medical malpractice, and personal injury. His practice also involves advising businesses and individuals in employment law and representing them in employment litigation before the various courts and administrative agencies. Mr. Kagan is a former Adjunct Professor at Maryland Law School, and is a member of the Ethics Commission for the City of Annapolis.
rF. Joseph Gormley was selected by his peers in What’s Up? Annapolis in the area of business law. He represents local, national and international businesses and executives in competition, licensing and general business law matters, as well as government investigations, mergers and joint ventures. His work with diverse industries includes hospitality, automotive, defense, oil, energy, telecom, internet, high tech, entertainment, and healthcare. Mr. Gormley is Co‑Chair of the Committee Operations Task Force for the American Bar Association Antitrust Section.
rHon. Ronald H. Jarashow, a former judge on the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, joined the firm in January 2011. In the past 35 years, he has represented businesses and individuals in all Maryland and D.C., State and Federal trial and appeals courts. He handles complex business, employment, personal injury and medical malpractice litigation, as well as advising businesses and individuals. In 2009, he was selected as a top business lawyer in the Baltimore/Annapolis area and leading medical malpractice lawyer. Mr. Jarashow has presented at seminars on employment and business law, personal injury, electronic discovery, evidence and civil litigation. He is an experienced mediator and arbitrator.
rJeffrey P. Bowman joined the firm in 2008 after clerking for the Honorable Thomas G. Ross, Circuit Court for Queen Anne’s County. Mr. Bowman practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, and appellate practice.
rKemp W. Hammond joined the Firm in 2010, after serving as a law clerk for the Honorable Nancy Davis-Loomis, Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, and thereafter as a prosecutor in the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office. He practices in the areas of general civil litigation, business law and criminal defense.
