Ballet Theatre of Maryland (BTM), the state’s premier professional ballet company, will be inviting the Casey Cares Foundation to a special dress rehearsal/performance of the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, on Wednesday, December 8 at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. This will be the fourth year BTM has provided this outreach performance to the Casey Cares Foundation, which provides ongoing, uplifting programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families.
This performance is one of the many outreaches BTM provides to the community. BTM also performs many educational outreaches, including mini-shows at the theatre for area schools, in-school workshops and residencies through Young Audiences of Maryland, and performances for various community groups such as the Bowie Senior Center and the Anne Arundel Community Association.
BTM will be holding public performances of The Nutcracker on December 10th & 11th and 17th & 18th. Tickets can be purchased through Maryland Hall’s box office: 410.280.5640 or www.mdhallarts.org. More info on Ballet Theatre of Maryland can be found online at www.balletmaryland.org.
