SPCA's Lights on the Bay at Sandy Point State Park, Annapolis

Driving through “Lights on the Bay” at Sandy Point State Park has become a tradition for many families for the past decade. The Lights on the Bay display is a scenic drive along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay with more than 60 spectacular animated and stationary displays illuminating the roadway. Our holiday light show is sponsored by the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.
Winter Fest of Lights at Northside Park, Ocean City

See how Ocean City, MD, sparkles this winter and visit the Winterfest of Lights! The 2022 Winterfest of Lights will be an expanded walking tour that takes you through thousands of sparkling holiday lights and many animated light displays located along a paved path in Northside Park. Sip hot chocolate, take a photo with Santa, visit our gift shop and enjoy the array of holiday exhibits – including many surprises. Come see the 50-foot Christmas tree put on a show for you and soak up all of the holiday spirit at Winterfest of Lights. So grab your family and friends, and don't miss this award-winning holiday event.
Merriweather Symphony of Lights at Merriweather Post Pavilion, Columbia

The Symphony of Lights has been a time-honored Howard County holiday tradition enjoyed by many for over 25 years. Set in historic Merriweather Post Pavilion and made up of more than 300,000 bulbs, this family-oriented spectacular is a dazzling display of larger-than-life animated and stationary holiday light creations. With the addition of new lights (and a 150 foot screen!), your time through our refreshed course guarantees a night to remember.
Festival of Lights at Watkins Regional Park, Upper Marlborro

The event was so amazing last year that it sold out! We are offering it again this year! Enjoy a unique experience RIDING your bike through the Winter Festival of Lights! Experience dazzling scenes that celebrate the magic of the holiday season! For safety, bike lights and helmets are required. Costumes and bike decorations are welcome! No vehicles will be allowed during this time.

Take a self guided walk to the North Pole! Let the North Pole Fairy send you on your way through the garden flowers and arctic animals to the North Pole Palace. Visit Santa in the Garden Cabin. New scenes are added every year!

Zoo Lights at the Maryland Zoo, Baltimore

A brilliant seasonal spectacle is coming to the Zoo again this winter! Walk through a festival of lights shaped like wildlife and your face might just light up too. Plus, get that warm glowing feeling inside knowing you are supporting the Zoo’s animal care and conservation work. NEW this year—Zoo Lights has moved to Main Valley, including Schaefer Plaza, the Farm Yard, and the train station! Zoo members save $5 on all ticket types.
Winter Lights Festival at Seneca Creek State Park, Gaithersburg

The City's Winter Lights Festival is getting ready to welcome visitors for another spectacular season. The wondrous display of lights at Seneca Creek State Park will be open nightly November 25 through December 31. The festival is closed on December 25 and last entry for December 24 & 31 is 8:30 p.m. The 3.5 mile drive through the enchanted setting of Seneca Creek State Park takes you past more than 450 illuminated displays and beautifully lit trees that light up the night. The park is located at 11950 Clopper Road, conveniently accessible from I-270.
