Doppelbock will be tapped when doors open at 11am. “We want to thank our customers for demanding this popular ew two times a year. And, if history repeats itself, this ew will be around for one day only”, says Rams Head Tavern Annapolis General Manager Corky Fertitta.
Each Rams Head location will be filled with holiday decorations, holiday tunes, yummy eggnog, drink and food specials, and a chance to win tickets for the Silopanna Music Festival on August 27th at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds.
Doppel is German for double; Bock is German for strong beer. The first Doppelbock was ewed in the late 1600's with a rich and malty bitterness taste. According to Walter Trifari, Head Brewmaster of Fordham Brewing Company, “Doppelbock is exceptionally smooth, full-bodied dark lager with a bold character that is sure to ighten your spirits. This beer also pairs well with rich roasted foods or German chocolate cake'.
“Who says there has to be one Christmas a year?” says Rams Head Shore House General Manager, Kathryn Singer, “Rams Head invites you to cele ate this annual tradition with us.”
