Her goal? She says it's to “enjoy the competitiveness of sports, and how the leadership and teamwork skills carry over to everyday life.” It's working for her so far; Colleen carries a 3.94 weighted GPA, putting her in the top 10 percent of her class.

On the fi eld, she applies herself with just as much enthusiasm; Colleen will attend Virginia Tech this fall on a lacrosse scholarship. “I would like to study biochemistry while I'm there,” she says.

Colleen made Coaches' All-County second team as a freshman, first team as a sophomore, is captain of the lacrosse team two years running come spring, and has started on varsity since beginning high school play. Colleen lives in Odenton with her parents, Beth and David, and her other, 14-year-old Brady. She has another other as well, 23-year-old Greg.
