Annapolis, MD - We are making progress. Even with a decrease in dose allocations last week, the opening of the Navy Stadium mass vaccination site allows us to keep pace with demand. In fact, more than 50% of eligible residents ages 18 and over have received their first dose. Our aim remains 80%, a key threshold in achieving the herd immunity needed to decrease the spread of the virus.
We need your help. If you know people who have yet to sign up, we ask that you share the many different ways to get vaccinated. If you know people who are hesitant, please encourage them to speak with their trusted healthcare providers about their concerns. Vaccines are safe, effective, and are the key to saving lives and ending this pandemic.
