This week’s Feedback Friday topic is:
Maryland Gubernatorial Debate
On Wednesday evening this week, Maryland Public Television broadcasted the only scheduled debate between the two candidates for Maryland Governor—Republican candidate Dan Cox and Democratic candidate Wes Moore. The debate took place at MPT’s Owings Mills studio, was moderated by Jason Newton of WBAL-TV 11 News, and featured a panel of four journalists asking the candidates questions on a range of topics, including public safety, abortion rights, transportation, education, election systems, equity and diversity, and even thoughts on current Governor Larry Hogan.
The two candidates traded barbs in what was a, sometimes, heated debate, most notably with Cox calling his opponent “phony” and “racist,” and Moore countering by calling Cox an “extremist election denier.”
You can watch the full debate, here at Maryland Public Television’s website.
Did you watch the debate? What are your thoughts about the two candidates and the direction each plans for Maryland?
Please share your thoughts by filling out this form. Today’s responses—and all future Feedback Friday responses—will be published in our Monday newsletters after the weekend. AND, several responses from recent topics will appear in our upcoming print magazines!
