A native of Queen Anne’s County, Lynn Knight was formerly the Executive Director of the nonprofit organization, Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence, Inc., in Denton. Her interest in the law began by assisting domestic violence victims at protective order hearings and being an expert witness in battered spouse syndrome cases.
rThe Washington College graduate returned to law school, and earned her Juris Doctorate from Widener University of Wilmington, Delaware in 1999.
rIn July 2002, Lynn opened her own firm, The Law Office of Lynn Knight, located in Centreville, Maryland, her hometown. Lynn practices family law, wills and estates, civil litigation and is a Court Appointed Mediator in the Mid-Shore area. Her goal in representing clients is to strive for resolutions that cause the least disruption to families and to avoid time-consuming and costly litigation whenever possible.
rFormer president of the Queen Anne’s Bar Association, Lynn is currently the county attorney for the Queen Anne’s Department of Social Services, the County’s Ethics Commission and Personnel Board. She is a Rotarian and active in many local community organizations.
