Dr. Quimby’s passion for dentistry began early in her educational career. Initially, she received Dental Assisting Certification, then a B.S. in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. At Baltimore College of Dental Surgery she graduated Magna Cum Laude. During her time there she was elected to numerous honor societies including Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society, Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, and the Ferdinand Gorgal Odontological Honorary Society. Notably, she was also the only recipient of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award.
rDr. Quimby opened the doors to her Easton practice in 2000. A proud resident of Talbot County, Dr. Quimby thinks of her patients as extended family. She supports many local organizations and is a proud participant of Give Kids a Smile. Dr. Quimby’s office offers the latest dental technology and was the first office on the shore to offer digital impressions. Her office is known to “Cater to Cowards” and strives to make her patients feel comfortable. When not busy taking classes to further her education, Dr. Quimby enjoys traveling and spending time at the beach with her husband, optometrist Charles McDonald, and her son and daughter.
rShe retains her passion for learning and is a current member of the American Dental Association and the Maryland and Eastern Shore Dental Associations. She also maintains a membership with the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and continues to crack the books with the Easton Dental Educators-study club and the Chesapeake Implant Study Club. The extra study proves necessary for her membership with the Academy of General Dentistry, as membership there requires nearly three times the continuing education credits necessary for license renewal.
rUltimately, though, Dr. Quimby knows that dentistry isn’t just about being well educated on the facts, it’s about forming a personal bond with the patients. For that reason, she notes, “I love to see my patients smile. Whether it’s from being pleased with their new smile or overcoming their fear of the dentist.” She is currently accepting new patients. You can visit her office in Easton to begin casting all your former fears of the dentist aside. In fact, in no time at all, the thought of visiting Dr. Quimby will have you smiling ear to ear.
