In 2005, Gary Greenblatt and Connie Hare, husband and wife and the partners of Mehlman, Greenblatt & Hare, LLC, purchased a home in Talbot County and immediately fell in love with the Eastern Shore way of life. They looked around and noticed a need for their area of law—a practice limited to debtor/creditor matters. In 2006, Gary and Connie expanded their Baltimore practice and opened an Easton office to serve the needs of the Eastern Shore.
rHaving limited their practice to insolvency matters for more than 30 years, Gary and Connie have the skills and experience to go well beyond the nuts and bolts of a typical bankruptcy practice. The firm combines the sophisticated practice one would expect from a large law firm with the individualized attention provide by a small one. With a combined 50 years as practicing attorneys, Gary and Connie are able to promptly and competently respond to both routine and novel legal issues that arise when dealing with complex financial matters. The Firm regularly represents business debtors in Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcies, as well as in out-of-court workouts and state court insolvency proceedings.
rIn addition to representing business debtors, Gary and Connie provides quality representation to individuals facing economic pressures caused by a variety of circumstances, including business failures, job layoffs or cutbacks, marital disputes or health problems. They are able to assist in determining the best way to resolve these financial matters, either inside or outside of a bankruptcy proceeding.
rIn all instances, Mehlman, Greenblatt & Hare, LLC is not like other law firms. Gary and Connie provide not only legal advice with respect to the matters for which they are engaged, but practical advice as well. Since their clients are facing serious financial difficulties, with limited resources to address these issues, they believe that resolving a matter without litigation is usually a win for all involved. Pragmatic considerations are given equal weight to legal considerations in structuring a winning strategy.
rGary is one of the leading attorneys in Maryland in issues involving marital property in bankruptcy, having litigated this matter several times before the federal appellate courts. He was voted “Baltimore’s Best Bankruptcy Attorney” by Baltimore Magazine and was among the Top 10 List of Baltimore’s “Favorite Business Lawyers” by The Daily Record. Mehlman, Greenblatt & Hare, LLC has been voted Law Firm of the Year on two separate occasions for Connie’s work for the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Association. If you stop by their offices in either Easton or Baltimore, you will likely be greeted by The Dutchess, their SPCA rescue dog.
rIf you are facing complicated financial difficulties and need some sound advice, please contact Gary or Connie at the firm of Mehlman, Greenblatt & Hare, LLC. It’s not like any other law firm.
