Highbush Blueberry Rain Garden
r
Three RainScaping Campaign Partners worked together this spring to install an outstanding rain garden! With funding from Unity Gardens, several Master Gardener volunteers gave the Chesapeake Ecology Center (CEC) tremendous assistance by helping with site preparation and the planting of a Highbush Blueberry Rain Garden. The newest of a dozen rain gardens is located along the sidewalk at the entrance to Adams Academy Middle School, home of the CEC, where 30 Native Plant Demonstration Gardens and Sites are located. The rain garden is incorporated within the BayScape Garden which contains native trees, shrubs, flowering perennials and grasses.
